Today, I will, inshallah, revisit the subject of atheism among Muslims. In the past I presented eight proofs that Allah exist in a talk entitled “A Muslim can never be atheist”.  You can review this talk and its YouTube video at  (https://successineternity.com/) and   (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmS_xgAn8r4 ).  The eight proofs were:

In this talk, I intend to, inshallah, show that atheism results from arrogance or stupidity or confusion and discuss how you respond to each cause.

Some Muslims who claim to be atheists fall in the stupid category because they blindly follow the opinion of others who may be arrogant scientists or individuals who refuse to live under the moral code of religion. You cannot change their mind because they refuse to listen to any logical argument that is religiously related.

However, one possible argument that you may offer them is the simple decision tree, shown in Figure 1. This decision tree is used to identify the scenario that can achieve the highest potential positive outcome.  As shown in Figure 1, deciding that God does not exist can results in the tremendous loss of eternal condemnation in Hell.   But deciding that God exists can lead to the outcome of eternal happiness in paradise.   By default, if God exists, He will inform us about the consequences of believing or rejecting Him and His expectations from us, and this can be derived from His revealed religions.

Also, the mere existence of the word God proves that God exists. Words are identified by man after a concept is conceived, not before it. A word is identified to allow people to communicate about the concept or the idea.  The word God exists in all cultures and in the writing of man from the beginning of civilizations.  The word would not have existed if people did not know that there is a creator for the universe and His title is God.

If these two simple arguments did not convince, ignoring those people is more appropriate as Allah advised us by saying:

خُذِ ٱلۡعَفۡوَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡعُرۡفِ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِينَ (١٩٩)

“Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant.” (Al-Araf 7:199)

Another group of Muslims claim to be atheists because of their confusion about the nature of God. This group denies God’s existence because of what they consider a contradiction between the Merciful God who controls everything in the universe and Him allowing the suffering in the world even children. The confusion results from attempting to put God under the same constrains that apply on people.  People are constrained by four dimensions: three spatial dimensions (width, height, and length) and one time dimension.  God is not constrained by any.  Since God is not constrained by the time dimension, we cannot discuss His actions using past, present and futures tenses.

We must admit our limitations and be confident that God is merciful and just even if we cannot truly comprehend certain things that happen around us. Also, God informs us that anything bad happens, it is because of what we have done.  So, people should stop blaming God for their problems as He clearly says:

ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِى ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُواْ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ (٤١) (الرُّوم)

“Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned, so that He (Allah) makes them taste some of what they have done, in order that they may return (to the right way).” (Al-Rome 30:41)

 وَمَآ أَصَـٰبَڪُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٍ۬ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِيكُمۡ وَيَعۡفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٍ۬ (الشورى(

“And whatever a disaster befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He overlooks many (of your evil deeds).” (Al-Shura 42:30)

 There is another group who claim to be atheist because of their confusion about the religious laws. Those people are generally disenfranchised by zealous parents or corrupt religious teachers or stubborn religious teachers who promote illogical ideas just because some scholar in the past have proposed them.  Those need to remove their confusion by studying the religion of Islam from its authentic sources: the Quran and the few authentic hadith, not on everything that they hear.

It is unfortunate that some accomplished scientists claim that they do not believe in God, though they have shown the intricate nature of the universe that relies on extremely tight tolerance of the fundamental cosmological parameters for it to exist.  An example of those accomplished scientists is Dr. Martin Rees, the renowned British cosmologist and astrophysicist.

One of Rees’s books is the book entitled: “Just Six numbers’ that govern the universe”.  This book discusses the necessary degree of exactness of the cosmological numbers for the universe to exist.   These six cosmological numbers are classified as follows:

1. Two numbers are related to basic forces: M and €
2. Two numbers control the size of the universe: Ɣ and λ
3. Two numbers govern the properties of the space: Q and D

For the universe to exist, these numbers must be extremely concise. The term that scientists often use to express the degree of conciseness of the universe’s cosmological numbers is “fine tuning”.

As example of the required degree of conciseness for the universe to exist is the exactness of value of the number N.  Number N represents the strength of the electrical forces holding atoms together divided by the force of the gravity between them.  This value of number N is 10³⁶ (billion billion billion billion).  The analysis by many accomplished scientists has shown that if the Number N changes by 1 every 10 Decillion (change by 10^-34), only a short-lived miniature universe could exist, and no creatures could grow larger than insects.

 Another atheist who is well-known cosmologist and theoretical physicist is Stephen Hawking who concluded, based on rigorous mathematical derivation, that if the expansion rate of the universe was different by one part of a thousand, million, million a second (10^-15 per second) after the big bang, the universe would have collapsed back to itself and never developed galaxies.   Scientists have estimated that the age of the universe is 13.7 billion years that corresponds to 4.3X10¹⁷ seconds.  Based on Hawking’s prediction the existence of the universe would collapse is the expansion occurred in 1.2 hrs less than the current age of 13.7 billion years.

To appreciate the necessary level of accuracy for the universe to exist, consider

A person that weights 70 kg (154 lb). The body of such as person is composed of 6.5 x 10²⁷ atoms.  If the degree of accuracy in the cosmological number N applies to man, we can say that the person will not survive if his number of atoms is reduced by less than 0.5×10^-6 atom (i.e 1 atom from every two million atoms), or in other words if the person loses ¼ gm of his weight.  Man loses kilograms not grams and he still survive.  This means that the existence of the universe requires far more accuracy, and this cannot not logically achieved except by an infinitely knowledgeable creator.

Allah has informed us in the Quran that He created the universe (the heavens and the earth) with very high accuracy and following strict rules.  The word Allah used to describe the condition for creating the universe is (بِٱلۡحَقِّ) that means with justice, in truth, according to strict rules, just laws, proper rules, etc.   Allah says:

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ‌ۖ وَيَوۡمَ يَقُولُ ڪُن فَيَڪُونُ‌ۚ قَوۡلُهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ‌

“He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth with strict rules. On the day He says:  “Be” it will become to be, His Word is the truth.” (Al-Anaam 6:73)

خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ‌ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَةً۬ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ (٤٤)

“Allah created the heavens and the earth with strict rules. Surely in this there is a sign for the believers” (Al-Ankaboot 29:44)

 

Because Allah knew that some intelligent people will not believe, He directed them to study themselves to know that He is their Creator, and the Creator the universe. Allah says:

أَوَلَمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُواْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِہِم‌ۗ مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَہُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ۬ مُّسَمًّ۬ى‌ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرً۬ا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآىِٕ رَبِّهِمۡ لَكَـٰفِرُونَ (٨)

“Do they not reflect in their own selves? Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them but with strict rules, and for an appointed time.  Yes, many of the people are disbelieves in the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)!” (Al-Room 30:8)

 Allah also directs those people to humble themselves by realizing their origin which is a drop of fluid. But Allah points out that there will be some people who when they grow, they will have the audacity to become open adversaries to Allah to the point of denying His existence or associating others with Him.  Allah says:

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ‌ۚ تَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ (٣) خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ (٤)

He (Allah) created the heavens and the earth with strict rules.  He is above ascribing partners to Him. (3) He created man from a drop of fluid, and soon man becomes an open adversary (to Allah) (Al-Nahl 16:3-4)

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ (٧٧)

 “Doesn’t man see that We have created him from a drop of fluid? and soon man becomes an open adversary (to Allah) (Yaseen 37:77)

Humility can come when man recognizes that he is made from mainly hydrogen, oxygen and carbon atoms as shown in Table 1.    It is interesting that the composition of man needs to be extremely accurate to survive.  We know that iron is very important to our existence, but its number atoms are 100,000 less than the number of hydrogen atoms, but even this extremely small number must exist.  So, if we lose only 0.0007% of our atoms, we will die.

With these compelling numbers that scientists have developed regarding the extreme accuracy that are required to create the universe, what are their justifications to deny the presence of God? Their justification of denying God’s existence may be summarized in two main reasons:

1. They cannot derive the presence of God from a mathematical model.
2. They claim that they may be able to identify other values for the cosmological numbers that will allow the universe to exist with larger variations the currently derived numbers. They are basically claiming that they may be able to design the universe better than God.

Regarding the first reason, the justification is not even scientific because mathematical models start by basing them on axioms.  Axioms, also called postulates, are assumptions that are designated as self-evidently true and thus needing no proof.   So, suggesting that every truth must be incorporated in equation is not correct. As example of postulate in the general relativity theory is the presence of matter “curves” spacetime, and this curvature affects the path of free particles. Other example of axions: “things that are equal to the same thing are also equal to one another”.

The second reason is a clear demonstration of despised arrogance for the simple reason that there is no absolute proof that the current theories are correct and that there are no more than the six cosmological numbers in play.  Also, history tells us that knowledge keeps advancing and theories of physics change.   In fact, even the number of forces that exist in the universe is now being questioned.  Current theories are based on the understanding that there are only 4 fundamental forces in the universe, and these are: 1) the strong nuclear force, 2) the electromagnetic force, 3) the weak nuclear force, and 4) gravity. But recent analysis of data on the elementary particle W bosons has shown that the particle is heavier than the prediction of the Standard Model of particle physics.  The measurement was reported in the journal Science (April 2022) comes from the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.  Such measurements could result in a huge shift in fundamental physics.

Scientists who think that they have discovered all the rules of creation need to have some humility because no matter how much knowledge man will ever have, it is infinitesimal compared to Allah’s knowledge as He said:

وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً۬

“And you are not given from the knowledge but a little” (Al-Isra 17:85)

For those scientists whose arrogance are clear from their basis for denying God’s existence, Allah, has identified for them the one condition that must exist for them to believe in Him.  This condition is seeing the painful punishment of Hell, Allah says:

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّتۡ عَلَيۡہِمۡ ڪَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ (٩٦) وَلَوۡ جَآءَتۡہُمۡ ڪُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ (٩٧)

“Surely, those against whom the Word of Your Lord has been verified would not believe (96) Even though every sign comes to them unless they see (for themselves) the painful punishment.” (Yunus 10:96-97)

كَذَٲلِكَ سَلَكۡنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ (٢٠٠) لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ (٢٠١) فَيَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةً۬ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ (الشُّعَرَاء(

“Thus, have We caused it pass through the hearts of the sinners. (200) They will not believe in it (the Quran) until they see the painful punishment; (201) But the (Penalty) will come to them suddenly while they will not be anticipating.” (Al-Shuara 26:201)

Is it surprising that several well recognized scientists deny the presence of God?  Not really, because arrogance can blind the heart and the mind of any person.

Satan is a good example.  His arrogance made him believe that he can make better decisions than God.  This sounds similar to those scientists who claim that they can identify better cosmological constants for the universe than God.

Arrogance is a very dangerous disease that can lead man to misguidance and thus the Prophet warned from it by saying:

عن عبد الله بن مسعود عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لا يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من كبر ) رواه مسلم وأحمد وغيرهما(

“No one will enter Paradise if he has in his heart an atom weight of arrogance”.

Also, Allah assured Hell for those who are arrogant, He said:

سَأَصۡرِفُ عَنۡ ءَايَـٰتِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَكَبَّرُونَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ڪُلَّ ءَايَةٍ۬ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِہَا وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ سَبِيلَ ٱلرُّشۡدِ لَا يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلاً۬ وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ سَبِيلَ ٱلۡغَىِّ يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلاً۬‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّہُمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنۡہَا غَـٰفِلِينَ

“I shall turn away from My revelations those who show arrogance in the earth with no right to do so and if they were to see every sign, they would not believe in it; and if they see the Path of guidance, they do not take it as their way; and if they see the path of misguidance, they would take it as their way. That is because they have rejected Our signs, and have been disregarding them.” (Al-Araf 7:146)

 وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ تَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسۡوَدَّةٌ‌ۚ أَلَيۡسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوً۬ى لِّلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ (٦٠)

“And on the Day of Judgment, you will see those who lied against Allah— their faces are turned black. Is it not that Hell is an abode for the arrogant?” (Al-Zumur 39:60)

Satan rejected God’s commands on the basis that he knows better than God and this resulted in him being condemned for eternity.  And instead of Satan apologizing for his transgression and asking for Allah’s forgiveness he continued his transgression by committing to lead many people to reject God and thus leading them to eternal punishment.  Allah says:

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَـٰڪُمۡ ثُمَّ صَوَّرۡنَـٰكُمۡ ثُمَّ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأَدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ لَمۡ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ (١١) قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلَّا تَسۡجُدَ إِذۡ أَمَرۡتُكَ‌ۖ قَالَ أَنَا۟ خَيۡرٌ۬ مِّنۡهُ خَلَقۡتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ۬ وَخَلَقۡتَهُ ۥ مِن طِينٍ۬ (١٢) قَالَ فَٱهۡبِطۡ مِنۡہَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيہَا فَٱخۡرُجۡ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰغِرِينَ (١٣) قَالَ أَنظِرۡنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ (١٤) قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ (١٥) قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِى لَأَقۡعُدَنَّ لَهُمۡ صِرَٲطَكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ (١٦) ثُمَّ لَأَتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيۡنِ أَيۡدِيہِمۡ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ وَعَنۡ أَيۡمَـٰنِہِمۡ وَعَن شَمَآٮِٕلِهِمۡ‌ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ شَـٰكِرِينَ (١٧) قَالَ ٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡہَا مَذۡءُومً۬ا مَّدۡحُورً۬ا‌ۖ لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنۡہُمۡ لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

“And surely, We created you and shaped you and then We told the angels, “Prostrate to Adam”, and they prostrated except Iblis (Satan, who was a Jinn), he refused to be of those who prostrated.   (Allah) said: “What prevented you (O Iblis) from prostrating when I commanded you?”     Iblis said: “I am better than him, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.”   (Allah) said: “(O Iblis) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, you are among those who are humiliated and disgraced.” (Iblis) said: “Allow me respite till the Day when they (mankind) are raised up.  (Allah) said: “You are of those respited.”    (Iblis) said: “Because You have allowed me to go astray, I will, surely, sit in wait against them (mankind) on Your Straight Path (16) Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones.” (17) (Allah) said (to Iblis) “Get out from this (Paradise) disgraced and expelled. Whoever of them (mankind) will follow you, then surely, I will fill Hell with you all.” (Al-A’araf 7:11-18)

 Therefore, there are certain people who can easily fall in the net of Satan by possessing his main character of arrogance, Allah said regarding them:

ٱسۡتَحۡوَذَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنُ فَأَنسَٮٰهُمۡ ذِكۡرَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ حِزۡبُ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ‌ۚ أَلَآ إِنَّ حِزۡبَ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ هُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ

“The devil (Satan) has prevailed upon them, so caused them to forget the remembrance of Allah. They are the party of Satan, Be assured that Satan’s party are the losers?  (Al-Mujadalah 58:19)

Allah gives those people a grave warning that those who deny His existence, He will give up on them and will appoint for them a devil to continue to mislead them. Allah says:

وَمَن يَعۡشُ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ نُقَيِّضۡ لَهُ ۥ شَيۡطَـٰنً۬ا فَهُوَ لَهُ ۥ قَرِينٌ۬ (٣٦) وَإِنَّہُمۡ لَيَصُدُّونَہُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّہُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ (٣٧)

“And anyone who makes himself blind from remembrance of Al-Rahman (the Majestic Creator and Ruler over the universe), We (Allah) will appoint for him a devil as his intimate companion. (36) And they (the devils) prevent such people from the right path, while they think that they are rightly guided.” (Al-Zughrouf 43:36-73)

 I’ll finish with verses from Surat Al-Naml (27) in which Allah raises several rhetorical questions to encourage those who deny His existence or associate others with Him to think.  Allah says:

Say: Praise belongs to Allah, and peace be on His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or that which they associate with Him?	قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓ‌ۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيۡرٌ أَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ (٥٩)
Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to grow glamourous gardens.  It was not within your ability to grow their trees. Is there any God along with Allah? No, but they are people who ascribe equals (to Allah).	أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَڪُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً۬ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآٮِٕقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٍ۬ مَّا ڪَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآ‌ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ۬ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ۬ يَعۡدِلُونَ (٦٠)
Or, who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains for making it firm; and made a barrier between the two seas? Is there any God along with Allah?  No, but most of them do not have knowledge.	أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارً۬ا وَجَعَلَ خِلَـٰلَهَآ أَنۡهَـٰرً۬ا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٲسِىَ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ حَاجِزًا‌ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ۬ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ بَلۡ أَڪۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ (٦١)
Or, the One who responds to the distressed when he calls on Him and removes the distress, and Who makes you (mankind) vicegerents of the earth? Is there any God along with Allah?  No, but little of you heed to advice.	أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجۡعَلُڪُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ۬ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ قَلِيلاً۬ مَّا تَذَڪَّرُونَ (٦٢)
Or, the One who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and who sends the winds as bearing good news before His mercy? Is there any God along with Allah?  No, Allah is far greater than the partners they ascribe to Him.	أَمَّن يَهۡدِيڪُمۡ فِى ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن يُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَىۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۤ‌ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ۬ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ تَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِڪُونَ (٦٣)
Or the One who originates Creation, then will reproduce it and who gives you provisions from the sky and the earth? Is there any God along with Allah?  Say “Bring your proof if you are telling the truth!”	أَمَّن يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ۥ وَمَن يَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ۬ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ قُلۡ هَاتُواْ بُرۡهَـٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِينَ (٦٤
Say: None in the heavens or on the earth has knowledge of the unseen except Allah.  And they do not even know when they shall be raised up (for Judgment).	قُل لَّا يَعۡلَمُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبۡعَثُونَ ((٦٥
Rather their knowledge has failed to comprehend the Hereafter.  Rather they are in doubt about it and they are blind to it. (Al-Naml 27:59-66)	بَلِ ٱدَّٲرَكَ عِلۡمُهُمۡ فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ‌ۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِى شَكٍّ۬ مِّنۡہَا‌ۖ بَلۡ هُم مِّنۡهَا عَمُونَ (٦٦)
